Lysimachia ciliata Firecracker

After multiple requests for this old favorite, we decided to bring her back!  Lysimachia ciliata ‘Firecracker’ bears tall stems of pointed, dark purple leaves, which contrast beautifully with pale lemon flowers in July and August. It’s perfect for growing in a mixed herbaceous border and will also thrive at the pond edge or bog garden. Did you know that it is one of the few species that offers oil instead of nectar to its pollinators? AND Firecracker gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit!  A well-behaved variety that deserves more attention and another chance.
