Hibiscus moscheutos LUNA White is a vigorous, sturdy, rounded, somewhat shrubby, hairy-stemmed, woody-based perennial of the mallow family. It typically grows to 3-7’ tall and to 2-4’ wide. It is native to wet spots (marshes, swamps, floodplains, river banks, moist meadows, and moist woods) from Ontario and Massachusetts south to Ohio, Indiana, Alabama and Florida. Luna Rose’ is a member of the Luna™ series, seed-propagated hardy hibiscus that have a compact, well-branched, shrubby habit. ‘Luna White’ forms a medium-sized bushy mound of dark green leaves. Its flowers are a clean white with a ruby eye in the center, have showy yellow stamens and are up to 8 in. across. It grows 2 to 3 ft. tall and wide.
A Northern Sunset Perennial. It prefers rich, moist to wet soil in full sun to part sun.
