Gracing gardens since the 16th century, the stunning blooms of Trollius europaeus Superbus inspired their common name, which translates to “basin” in Latin, or “globe” in German. These easy-care perennials look great in drifts, at the water’s edge, in a boggy spot or in rich, moist soil in part sun. They are also an unusual addition to late spring bouquets.
A Northern Sunset Perennial, it prefers part sun to part shade in rich, moist soil.
