Rosin Weed

SILPHIUM integrifolium (Rosin Weed) Rosin Weed is an easy to grow Midwest Native perennial. It is much shorter than other silphium’s, does well in a wide range of soil types and moisture, has good structure and large yellow flowers. All which make it an adaptable plant for large garden borders. Although it resembles perennial sunflowers (Helianthus) it flowers earlier and is better behaved. Plant where it can form nice clumps. Meadows, prairies, butterfly and bee gardens and open woodlands are ideal.

A NATIVE, Naturally! perennial forb, it prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun.
