Vision Vulcano Astilbe

Astilbe chinensis Vision Vulcano (PP31422) differs from ‘Visions’ by its intense red-pink flowers, an improvement over Vison in Red. These flowers form a dense block of fuzzy, pyramidal plumes, just above the coarse, dark green foliage in midsummer.

Like all Chinese Astilbes, this one exhibits a bit greater tolerance to drier soils and can take full sun with the proper moisture. Astilbe chinensis varieties are useful for extending the bloom season into late summer.
