Pink Foxglove

A Part Sun Perennial

Digitalis thapsi Spanish Peaks is a true perennial foxglove with beautiful raspberry-rose flowers. It is more compact than the traditional foxglove but otherwise looks quite similar. This evergreen is easy to grow in dry, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Do not grow near Digitalis purpurea as plants will hybridize. Reportedly performs well in hot, humid climates.

Foxgloves are the quintessential English cottage garden plant. Most are biennials or short-lived perennials that self-sow like crazy and grow happily in any reasonably fertile soil in sun or shade. Deer and rabbit resistant.
