Indian Summer Black-eyed Susan

Rudbeckia hirta Indian Summer is an herbaceous perennial that forms, in the right conditions, a self-sowing patch of upright, long-stemmed, summer-fall blooms. Oversized, daisy-like flowers have yellow petals and conical, brown centers. Green leaves are lance-shaped and hairy. Good cut flower. Often grown as an annual.

A Northern Sunset Perennial (actually a biennial). It prefers average, moist to well-drained soil in full sun to part sun.
