Guardian Angel Hosta

Hosta x Guardian Angel is a large hosta, and a gorgeous sport of Blue Angel that resists slug damage. It has large, thick, blue-green foliage which displays a white center in early spring. What a show! By late spring, a unique green misting appears over the white center, resulting in a light green leaf with a blue-green margin, then maturing to fully blue-green. However, mature plants tend to keep their white center longer in spring or in cooler climates. Dense clusters of light lavender flowers are produced in midsummer. Guardian Angel makes a fantastic specimen plant, especially in spring, when the variegation is most pronounced.

A Northern Sunset Perennial, it prefers rich, well-drained to moist soil in part shade to full shade.
