HEUCHERA x Fire Alarm PP24545 (Fire Alarm Coral Bells) Bigger and brighter than ‘Fire Chief’ or ‘Autumn Leaves’, ‘Fire Alarm’ is bright red in spring and fall and darkens to a brown red during the summer. This hybrid of H. villosa has thick, leathery, red leaves that make a delightful medium size mound. ‘Fire Alarm’ complements almost every section of the color palette, but it can stand on its own without question. It won the silver medal at Planetarium 2014 and Best Heuchera in the Shade in Ohio State trials 2012.
A Northern Sunset perennial, it prefers rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part sun.
