Lemon Lace Vine

FALLOPIA aubertii Lemon Lace (Lemon Lace Vine) A welcome discovery by Bluebird Nursery staff member, Pam Bahns, this more refined, slower growing sport offers surprising accents of rich burgundy stems and petioles set against dazzling golden foliage. Summer brings chalk white flowers in cheerful frothy masses and papery, pink-flushed white fruit. Shedding a sprightly brilliance upon any lackluster garden setting, the dainty deciduous Lemon Lace Vine can thread its way up a pole in the mixed border, illuminate a fence or intertwine with a Clematis. Unusual in that it prefers a part shade situation, it lends a touch of sunshine to shaded areas of the garden.

A Northern Sunset perennial, it prefers average, well-drained to moist soil in part shade to full sun.
