X HEUCHERELLA x Solar Eclipse PP23647 (Solar Eclipse Foamy Bells) ‘Solar Eclipse’ is out of this world! It represents a true breakthrough in Heucherella breeding.
Aptly named, it forms rounded, scalloped leaves that are nearly all dark maroon in color with a solar glow of brilliant lime green just around the edges. Unlike a true solar eclipse that lasts just minutes, this one lasts year round.
Its evergreen foliage grows quickly to form a dense crown and perfect mound in the landscape. White flowers appear in late spring. The perfect foil for other colored foliage in the shaded garden.
A Northern Sunset perennial, it prefers rich, well-drained to moist soil in part sun to part shade.
