SESELERIA caerulea (Blue Moor Grass) A compact Sesleria with blue-green foliage is native to northern Europe and the British Isles. It is well-behaved and compact with 6”-8” foliage, chalky-blue on the top and dark green underneath, which gives it a distinctive two-tone look. The spring flowers in April and May are noticeable at first but become inconspicuous with age. Blue Moor Grass does not like hot climates and is not as heat tolerant as other Sesleria’s. Sesleria caerulea tolerates a wide variety of conditions.

A Northern Sunset perennial grass, it prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun to part sun.
