Solidago ulmifolia is useful in the pollinator garden as it attracts bees and butterflies looking for the last bit of nectar and pollen for the season. Elm-Leaved Goldenrod is a woodland species native to the Midwest including Wisconsin and Illinois. Its leaves resemble elm tree leaves hence its species and common name. Plants bear several sprawling flowering stalks that create a waterfall effect as the stalks droop to the side and downward. As with all goldenrods, it blooms late summer to early fall, lasting for about 3 to 4 weeks.
Gardening is a way of showing that you believe in tomorrow.
