Carex bromiodes (Sweeping Sedge) is a tough and adaptable Wisconsin and Illinois Native. It can be used in wetland restoration projects as well as soggy woodlands, wetland margins, vernal ponds and rain gardens.  It makes a fine-textured specimen plant or can be massed to create a non-aggressive ground cover.
