Hosta x So Sweet is named for the delightfully fragrant white flowers that appear in late summer. Very shiny dark green leaves have yellow margins in springtime that eventually fade to pure white in late summer. A small, upright hosta to about 8” in a vase-shaped clump, quickly forms dense foliage that crowds out most garden weeds. A dependable, versatile and sun resistant perennial requiring little care. American Hosta Growers Plant of the Year for 1996.
A Northern Sunset Perennial, it prefers rich, well-drained to moist soil in part shade to part sun.
