A Full Sun Perennial
Salvia verticillata Purple Rain is a low-maintenance perennial best for sunny locations. It has an upright in habit, maturing at 24-30″. Purple spires of blooms can be seen in early summer through late summer. Removing spent flowers helps to encourage a longer bloom season. Salvia plants do well in dry soil and are drought tolerant once established. Be sure the soil they are planted in drains well. Salvia is also deer resistant and is great for attracting butterflies!
