Full Sun Perennial

Helianthus pauciflora enjoys drier soils and full to part sun. Due to its rhizomatous tendencies, Showy or Prairie Sunflower can get aggressive in small area plantings which means it may not be a suitable species for smaller home landscape projects. However, in a prairie setting, Helianthus pauciflorus flourishes and offers beneficial relationships to a variety of pollinators.
