Hemerocallis x Mauna Loa (Mauna Loa Daylily) We finally did it! ‘We added Mauna Loa’, which is the sister to one of our all-time favorite daylilies, South Seas. A TETRAPLOID cultivar which features 5″ diameter, amber gold blend flowers with deep red wire edges and light green throats in July. Flowers appear on naked stems (scapes) which typically rise to 22″ tall above a clump of arching, linear, blade-like leaves. It may not bloom for a long time, but WOW! That color!!!

Part of the Northern Sunset brand it prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun to part sun.
