Golden Jubilee Hyssop

Agastache foeniculum ‘Golden Jubilee’ has vibrant golden green foliage and long blooming spikes of fragrant, dense spikes of purple-blue flowers in mid-to late summer. A cultivar of Eastern native Agastache foeniculum, it is also known as Anise Hyssop.

A heat loving perennial, Agastache ‘Golden Jubilee’ grows best in full sun to partial shade and poor to average soil where it will not require staking. The symmetrical, branching plants reach a mature height of 20 inches and spread 10 to 15 inches, while the attractive, serrated leaves release a minty fragrance when lightly crushed. Agastache ‘Golden Jubilee’ does not tolerate heavy, wet soil. For winter hardiness allow the stems to remain until new growth appears in spring.

Golden Jubilee is an easily grown, undemanding perennial. Named Golden Jubilee to commemorate the 50 years’ reign of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

A Northern Sunset Perennial, it prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun to part sun.
