Blue Globe Onion

We understand! Sometimes, planting bulbs in fall for spring color is the furthest thing from your mind. So, we plant a variety of Allium bulbs in pots, ready for spring planting. Allium caeruleum is a deep, clear blue ornamental onion that creates perfect globes of star-shaped flowers on stems only 16″ tall in May. Its rare blue color will help attract bees and other pollinators to your garden and deer do not care for its “onion-y” taste.

A Northern Sunset Perennial, it prefers full sun to part sun in average, well-drained soil.
