Big Kahuna Coneflower

Echinacea x PRAIRIE PILLARS™ Big Kahuna (PP26159) has masses of beautiful, fragrant, unusually large flowers with salmon-gold petals and coppery bronze cones blooming from mid-summer to fall. Very effectively planted in groupings. The flowers are great for cutting and in flower arrangements, attracts pollinators and feeds the birds in winter; use in naturalized areas with other native plants

This is a relatively low maintenance plant and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies to your yard but is not particularly attractive to deer who tend to leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics.

A Northern Sunset Perennial, it prefers rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part sun.
