Ruellia humilis is a low, mounding perennial wildflower. It emerges after all frost danger has passed and during the summer blooms with lavender, funnel shaped blossoms for about 2 months. An adaptable species, it thrives in sunny sites with moist or dry soil.  A Wisconsin Native, it is found throughout Eastern North America and west to Minnesota and Texas. It can be found growing in prairies, dry open woods, bluffs, sand flats, fields, and roadsides.

A Native, Naturally! Forb, it prefers full sun in average, dry soil.
